DCT-200 Multi-Output Power Supply description:

The Fame DCT-200 Multi-Power Supply is a versatile power supply for effects pedals, offering both 9V and 12V power outputs to power up to 10 pedals.

The Fame DCT-200, powered by a single IEC ‘kettle lead’ cable, offers a reliable and versatile power supply for your effects pedals. Small enough to be housed on a pedal board, the Fame DCT-200 features eight 9V outputs, one 12V DC output and one 12V AC output. There’s also a DIP switch for changing the DC voltage and maximum current of the 9V outputs, making them adjustable to between four and 14.5 volts.

The DCT-200 comes with all the cables needed to connect each output to your pedals, with cables colour-coded black, red and blue.

The main features of the Fame DCT-200 Multi-Power Supply include:

  • 9V & 12V power supply for up to 10 pedals
  • Eight 9V outputs with two 12V outputs
  • DIP switch enables changing voltage of 9V outputs to between 4V& 14.5V
  • DIP switch also changes maximum current to between 50 & 250mA
  • Dimensions are 171mm width x 111mm depth x 68mm height
  • On/Off switch with LED power indicators

Review:
Super cheap alternative to the more expensive Voodoos, etc.

Chances are it won't be as robust or last as long, and wouldn't trust without backup for touring (some tear downs have suggested poor circuit board design with components too close together for comfort). But as a domestic/small studio tool for non-critical use, buying one is an absolute no-brainer. The VFM is very high on this one.

Works as well as units costing at least twice the price. Physical size is quite large, but goes under my pedalboard anyway. Brilliant bit of kit.

Does just what it is supposed to do, and importantly does it without adding noise, but size-wise it is a fair bit bigger than other equivalent units. Great unit for the price though.

Review:
good cheap option for powering your pedal board, noticeable difference in sound from daisy chain, unit is large so if you have a small pedal board might not be for you, but otherwise good value for money.

Really quite amazing value for money. Lots of options, a decent amount of power, heaps of right-angled power cables, seems sturdy. Not had it long enough to vouch for its reliability but no reason to doubt it either. It's a little taller than some of its competitors...not an issue for me but it's worth measuring up first to see if you have space for it

Review:
Incredible value for money and impossible to fault at the price. I shall be getting one for my bass pedalboard too. A decent amount of DC jack leads are supplied and my only slight criticism is that the 2.1mm to 3.5mm leads really should have a positive tip at the 3.5mm end, as I'm not aware of any pedals using 3.5mm jack sockets that have a negative tip. Maybe the instructions should make mention of this to prevent any unpleasant surprises.

This is a flexible unit, capable of powering multiple devices, and can easily be configured to handle powering most devices a musician or radio amateur might wish. The unit is well constructed, although the plug on the kettle lead was European, it is possible to use a readily available replacement for whichever standard your country uses - that is why the unit is so good, it's easy to equip it for most applications in most countries. There were plenty of power cables supplied, some colour coded, so it is easy to differentiate which device is powered from which output. The dip switches, and a table of settings to use, is on the underside, where it is impossible to accidentally change them, but easy to deliberately change them with a fingernail. Overall, this is a good bench power supply for powering footpedals, some synths, and many radio receivers, including charging some amateur radio transceivers.

Review:
Probably the cheapest genuinely isolated power supply out there! A little on the large side but considering the features and the price point, it's hard to complain.

Review:
A substantially built piece of kit. Comes with loads of leads. Early days yet but powers five pedals so far with minimal noise. The only caveat is that it has four rubber feet (a good thing normally I guess) and I haven't figured out how best to deal with these if I want to fasten the brick to the pedal board.

Works well with next to no noise. It's quite big and heavy though. Overall I would recommend it. a a

Cheapest isolated power supply around. Would highly recommend for guitarists looking to build a budget pedalboard. Noticeable improvement from a daisy chain. Quite large and heavy, best placed on the board as it won't fit under (without modification).

Review:
Completely eliminated the buzzing I had from daisy chaining pedals. Robust build. Great features; the dip switch works a treat, loads of different voltage/ampage options. Comes with loads of cables and adapters.

Only con; it's a little bit tall. No biggie, still fits on my pedalboard fine.

Really pleased with this for the price, will defo get another when the time comes!

Review:
Shopping around for pedal power supply bricks these days seems to be so polarised between stupidly expensive or too cheap to be any good but this seemed to be a reasonably compromise! It's a million times quieter than the daisy chain I had, and it powers my pretty big pedal board with no problems! I don't know much about isolated power and whether this is really isolated or not etc, but it works great and I'm real happy with it!

Very good value for money. Everything you need in a power supply, lots of tweakable options for what kind of power you need to supply your pedals. 8 9V or 12V DC, another 12V DC. Two of them can be sagged which sounds great into a fuzz, putting in about 5V. Lots of cables came with it which is good. The blue and red ones can be used on higher voltages so you don't accidentally plug it into a pedal that would blow at a high voltage.

Only con is its size, and honestly it isn't that much bigger than others so its only a small con. I will probably buy one again if it ever breaks.

Despite the slightly outdated and un-aesthetic visual shell of this product its uses are boundless and work very well! very clean and reliable output with adjustable voltages (very useful).
