The Faderfox PC44 68x Pot USB MIDI Controller is a larger and expanded version of the PC4 universal controller. The PC44 can be used to control all manner of hardware and software in a mobile and comfortable format, and is perfect for artists who prefer more hands-on interaction when creating and producing music. The surface of the PC44 is mainly comprised of an 8x8 matrix of 68 rubber rotary pots, which are freely assignable to incoming MIDI commands from a DAW or effect plugin. The lower area contains four larger rubber pots and eight buttons which can be assigned multiple functionalities – the values and parameters of which can be found in the 4-digit LED located in the top left of the controller. This LED can be locked and unlocked at any time if, for example, you only wanted to monitor the value of a particular pot whilst manipulating other buttons or knobs. Up to 64 complete set-ups can be saved to the PC44, each of which retaining around 75 commands.
The PC44 is fully class compliant and no drivers are needed to use the device with a particular source, the firmware included upgradable via Systex-dump. It can be connected to a Mac or PC by USB and to any MIDI devices that feature standard MIDI In/Out ports. The PC44 can even be used exclusively with a MIDI device if a 5V 100mA USB adapter is socketed.
