The Novation Launchpad Ableton Controller has been jointly designed by Novation and Ableton, integrating instantly and seamlessly to provide a powerful and musical way to physically and visually interact with Ableton Live. Now you can really ‘Play Live’.
With a multi-colour 64-button grid and dedicated scene launch buttons, Novation Launch Pad is purpose built for triggering and manipulating clips in Live. It also offers a new and exciting way of controlling Ableton Live’s mixer.
Novation Launchpad features a dedicated ‘Launchpad edition’ of Ableton Live 8. But Launch Pad is not exclusive to Ableton Live. Empowered with Novation’s exclusive Automap software, it can turn its hand to controlling almost any music software.
Switch to ‘mixer mode’ and the same button grid offers a unique way to control Ableton Live’s mixer. Volume, pans, sends, track arming, soloing and muting can all be controlled via the grid. Using buttons instead of dials, Launchpad lets you jump to different levels across eight channels at once – great for controlling multiple effects sends.
Novation Launch pad is also great for sketching out beats. Switch to ‘user mode 1’ and the 64 buttons become drum pad triggers with a direct line to Ableton Live’s Drum Racks. However, Launchpad has two 'user' modes, and both are fully customizable. Using Live’s own learn function, they let you create your own control setup, exactly the way you want it.
Novation Launchpad is also the ideal controller for Max for Live. The customizable user modes are flexible enough to deal with even the most detailed Max for Live devices and can handle generic parameters and controls with ease. Programmers can utilise variable brightness and multi-colour (eleven) LED states to their full advantage when designing new and innovative tools in Max for Live. The possibilities for devices are limitless.
The Novation Launchpad is designed to work together, with up six units at once! That’s 432 assignable buttons! Need faders, keys, drum pads and more? Launchpad works seamlessly alongside all of Novation’s other controllers, including the SL MkII with its dedicated co-designed Ableton control layout. Launchpad can also operate as a grid expansion for the Akai APC40.

The Novation Zero SL MK2 USB MIDI Controller is a full DAW and plug-in control surface (for live and studio use) that visually feeds back all control information to the user. A giant 144-character display, back lit LED buttons and LED ringed encoders show the status of all controls. Ultra-quick mapping of all 56 controls (knobs, faders and buttons) is managed by the groundbreaking Automap 3 PRO software.
The Novation Zero SL MK2 USB MIDI Controller equips the modern DAW user with every dimension of hardware control, enabling a hands-on approach to navigating software, mixing and controlling plug-ins. It can be mounted in a 19" rack, or used as a desk-top controller, or angled for performance using legs that are included with the unit.
The ZeRO SL Mk II's visually feeds back all controller information to the user with back lit buttons and encoder LED rings, making it absolutely ideal for live performances where parameters need to be identified instantly.
The 8 continuous rotary encoders have 11 segment LED rings around each of them, allowing encoders to behave like pots so the user can see the value before moving them. All the buttons have LEDs underneath them so users can instantly see their status without having to press them. There are 8 soft-feel drum pads, a pitch/modulation wheel and an X/Y Xpression touchpad which (along with footswitch and sustain pedal inputs), are all fully assignable to any parameter with the Automap software.
The power behind the ZeRO's unique ability to map controllers at the touch of a button, is contained within the included Automap software. Automap 3 PRO enables users to map controllers with incredible speed and ease - no more digging through MIDI continuous controller numbers, the Automap server takes care of it all. Automap's GUI gives the user a visual representation of all the current mappings on screen, as well as the ability to save and manage mappings across different projects. There is also an option to only bring up the GUI when a controller on the ZeRO has been touched.
