The Universal Audio UAD-Xpander Xpert is the world's first ExpressCard audio DSP expansion system for Mac OS X and Windows XP/X64/Vista laptops.

ExpressCard is the new expansion standard in the latest laptops, such as the MacBook Pro, using an ultra-fast ExpressCard 34 connection (2.5Gbps differential serial link).. The Universal Audio UAD-Xpander Xpert has identical DSP power as the best-selling UAD-1 & UAD-1e PCI/PCIe series of desktop products, and is fully compatibily with all Powered Plug-Ins. Like its desktop siblings, the UAD-Xpander can mix sessions from 44.1khz to 192k. The Universal Audio UAD-Xpander Xpert conveniently leaves slower, USB & Firewire connections free for dongles, AudioI/O, and hard-drives while it operates at full PCI Express bandwidth.

• 256 MB of RAM (512 MB is strongly recommended)
• 125 MB of available disk space
• CD drive or internet connection for software installation
• 1024 x 768 or higher resolution monitor
• VST, RTAS, or Audio Units host software, such as Steinberg Nuendo, Digidesign Pro Tools, or Apple Logic Pro
• An AGP graphics video adapter (PCI graphics is not recommended)
• Internet connection required for registration and obtaining optional plugins
