The Gope Cuica is an important instrument in traditional Samba music. The Cuica is also known as a puita, boi or onca, and is mostly associated with Brazilian Samba music. A small stick is attached to the skin, which is rubbed with a wet cloth. The friction causes the head to vibrate. The player can change the pitch by pressing on the skin. Diameter: 10in
