The Roland TD-30KV Electronic Drum Kit is a wonderfully-designed flag-ship model for the company’s professionally-used and much-acclaimed range of V-Drums. Combining astonishingly-rendered sounds with effortless playability, it’s a must for the pro drummer, whether used out at live gigs or set up permanently in the studio.
The superNATURAL sound engine is the power lying inside the easily-controlled drum module, with intricate behaviour modelling and advanced triggering options allowing a drummer to truly represent themselves, their nuances and their dynamism through their kit.
With 1000 drum and percussion sounds to pick between and assemble into kits – of which there are already 100 presets, you can sound exactly as you want to, and to further root yourself into a mix or recording session, every single sound can be easily edited, whether on the unit itself or via included software.
The drum pads have again been designed with the real professionals in mind – the cymbals and pads all make good use of ‘natural feel triggering’, comprehensive motion sensing and rim sensors to provide an experience that not only allows a drummer to sit at the kit feeling confident, but also encourages experimentation.
Mountings and cables are all at a newly-redesigned professional standard and sleeve shields protect the well-balanced unit from harm, while for a custom touch, both red and blue shell wraps can be bought separately to help the TD-30KV to look the part on stage.
