XLN Addictive Drums is a Complete Drum Production Studio.

XLN Addictive Drums has everything you need to make a professional drumtrack production. It's flexible, yet very quick to learn and use. Addictive Drums is built on three major, and equally important, building blocks. You really need ALL three of them to get a complete drum production: Samples of the best brands available, in a studio with great acoustics, with a multi-mic setup. Stored in a multichannel format. Mixing, insert Effects, reverbs - the Know-How of a sound technician / producer. And last but not least, the grooves, beats and fills of a good dummer! Addictive Drums offers all this, in ONE easy-to-use plugin, compatible with all the major host softwares out there!

With one click, you can load up a complete drum production. The settings for the Kit, the Insert Effects and the 2 built in Reverbs are recalled in a split second. Save your own presets, and organize them in folders for quick access in any project. They appear automatically in the preset menu. So many production styles are covered that you are bound to find something that works with your music production. Even if this is not the case you can easily start out with a preset that is close to what you want, and then tweak your way to a drum production that suits your music perfectly. When you are done, just save the preset, and it will be there for you to recall instantly in your other projects.

Addictive Drums is very easy to learn and use, and it works for just about anybody. The User Interface is straight-forward and gives you lots of flexibility. All settings can be tweaked and changed to perfection, and Addictive Drums introduces some very neat features that haven't even been seen or heard until now!

Addictive Drums ships with 3 complete kits, and lots of extra drums and cymbals. The samples include every nuance from the softest to the hardest hits, many stroke variations (hihat has 12 variations, snare has 6 for example) Alternating samples through-out bring unparalleled realism. All sampled drum/cymbal sounds are recorded with a multi channel mic setup, just as you would record a real drum kit.

XLN Addictive Drums Retro is the first ADpak expansion for Addictive Drums and features three classic Ludwig drum sets from the 60s and 70s with cymbals from Paiste and Sabian.

The XLN Retro drums were recorded in Studios 301 Stockholm in a big recording room with a rich ambience. Retro expands the Addictive Drums library and allows you to mix and match between the original drums and the new vintage kits. Retro also includes cowbells, tambourines and hand claps.

Retro is great for a vintage sound with presets inspired by classic songs. But you can also use the modern presets for an up-to-date sound full of character. Or turn to the RetroMental soundbank for a chance to hear the Ludwig kits like you've never heard them before. With the Retro ADpak you get over 1300 midi loops and 70 presets that will get you groovin' in Motown, banging your head to booming heavy Rock, and tunin' out to psychedelic Rock'n'Roll!
