The Alesis AmpDock Guitar Multi-Effects Processor uses the huge processing power of your Apple iPad and allows guitarists to shape the tone of thier amplifier and create effects through thier very own touch screen device. The AmpDock gives you total control over apps like GarageBand, AmpliTube, or JamUp - use AmpDock's controls to switch between your presets and activate effects.
The Alesis AmpDock fully encloses your iPad or iPad 2 in its rugged enclosure (featuring a locking door to integrate your iPad and protect it on all sides) and helps you create your own custom sounds with real controls and professional inputs/outputs that work with any app, as well as your amplifier and pedal setup.
The AmpDock features all the I/O's you could need, including a 1/4" high-impedance guitar input and an XLR-1/4" input for connecting a microphone, a second guitar or bass. The AmpDock includes 1/4" outputs with Guitar/Mic and Ground Lift switches, allowing you to plug into to your amplifier or go directly into a PA. The AmpDock also includes a USB MIDI port for use with software MIDI applications on your Mac or PC. Lastly A the Amp Dock has a headphone output with volume control, so you can practice and experiment with your apps in perfect silence.
The AmpDock also comes complete with its very own pedalboard controller, enabling you to control volume, bypass sounds, program changes, as well as many other parameters. Or, you use the AmpDock without its pedalboard controller - the MIDI connections let you to use the AmpDock with other pedal controllers and MIDI hardware.
Don't worry - You'll never need to place the AmpDock with your valuable iPad on the floor. The AmpDock has a handy built-in kickstand allowing it to sit securely on top of your guitar amplifier, or onto a microhone stand using the Alesis Module Mount (sold separately).
