Mustang Floor Guitar Multi Effects Pedal description:

The Fender Mustang Floor guitar effects pedal incorporates all of the amp modelling flexibility and great tones & effects of the ever-popular Fender Mustang amps into a sturdy floor unit, the first of its kind by Fender.

Designed with over 100 onboard presets of pro-level amp modelling and effects, the Fender Mustang Floor can be used as a complete guitar modelling preamp with low-impedance speaker outputs for connecting directly to a PA-system. The Mustang Floor also has line-level outputs to plug directly into a power amp and speakers, as well as a stereo headphone output and auxiliary input for mp3 player/ipod connectivity.

Sturdy aluminium construction and an intuitive Mustang III control panel and LCD display make controlling the Mustang Floor a cinch, while the included download of Fender's FUSE software allows for deep editing of parameters, by connecting the floor pedal to your computer via USB. As such, the Fender Mustang Floor also functions as a high-quality, low-latency audio interface. Additional control is also available with the use of the optional EXP-1 Fender Expression pedal.

Pros: +
It's cheap. The virtual interface is great.

Cons: -
There some latency when using the USB output. Makes this unusable. Seems to be a tiny latency when using the audio jack output too.Still sound like an all in one solotion pedal board. Not brilliant. No comparison to using an amp+foot pedals.

Had multi-fx in the past. Eventually got turned off by poor modelling and the endless fiddling. At this price point you get less fx than say Boss or Lin6 HD Series BUT in this case less is definately MORE. The amp modelling is brilliant, the FX although limited are all very useable and the interface is very easy to use. If you prefer you can use the bundled Fuse Software to control the unit from you PC. Built like a tank with a metal case. I use this for lite practice on my own or with the band straight into the PA. Plus I have 100 confidence in taking the unit to a gig as a backup for my Mustang III v2 or Marshall Valve amp. Fender have done an excellent job here and the modelling is so much better than Line 6 HD500 I used to own. Less of a fiddle factor here because its so easy to get a decent sound out of this. Fender also put some time and effort into making the bundled presets much more usable - usually these units are filled with the wild and whacky - Great Unit well done Fender.
