Super Champ X2 Guitar Amplifier Combo description:

The Fender Super Champ X2 is a 15 watt guitar amplifier combo with a single 10 inch speaker that combines the best features of a classic valve amp with modern features such as digital effects and amp models.

Thanks to it's simplistic design and twin channels, the Super Champ X2 offers a wide range of tonal possibilities. Channel 1 provides the traditional clean tones that Fender amps are known for, while channel 2 is capable of producing a large variety of sounds thanks to the available digital effects and amp models.

Each effect and amp model on-board the Fender Super Champ X2 is highly adjustable thanks to FX adjust, bass and treble controls as well as a tap tempo function that alters delay time and modulation rate.

The Fender Super Champ X2 also comes equipped with USB connectivity allowing for total control and tailoring of the on-board effects through the available Fender FUSE software.

Blown away by this amp, really can't stop playing it. I bought it because I wanted Fender cleans, but haven't got the scratch for a DRRI or Princeton. The clean channel is just awesome and it takes pedals beautifully. Not so impressed with the modelled sounds straight out of the box but after a bit of tweaking with the FUSE software they're much better. The high gain sounds are a bit disappointing but that's not something I'd ever use anyway.

Unlike a lot of amps it sounds really good at low volumes which makes it perfect for my purposes. I previously had an AC15C1 which didn't start to sound nice until it got to antisocial volume levels.

Now, if it just came with the foot switch it'd be perfect.

Brilliant amp. I had a Fender Mustang IV mk1 and wanted something smaller so had to decide whether to go for the Mustang III MK2 or the Super Champ. The Mustang amps provide excellent modelled sounds and more flexibility in creating and saving presets BUT this amp just sounds so good to my ears.

The clean channel is all I need most of the time and can be used with the amp's built in effects to get a great tone but the second channel opens up possibilities for more varied sounds and tweaking. The fuse software helps you get the sounds you want on the modelled channel, each to their own here with the standard array of amps from Fender's own range through British amps of 60's 70's 80's and ending up with metal. So there really is no excuse for not getting the tone you want unless you have much more expensive tastes and need to break the £1000 barrier.
