Fender Vintage Hot Rod ’62 Stratocaster - 1962 was a benchmark year for the Stratocaster guitar. The Fender Vintage Hot Rod ’62 Stratocaster features a thin nitrocellulose lacquer-finished body, larger, C-shaped satin-finished neck with modern 9.5” fretboard radius and medium jumbo frets, reverse wound/reverse polarity middle pickup, five-way switch and tone pot wired to the bridge pickup.
The Fender Vintage Hot Rod ’62 Strat features American Vintage Strat single-coil pickups with the middle pick-up reversed wound and with reverse polarity. The five-way switch and the controls are a slightly modernised version of the original ’62's wiring as the second tone control operates on the bridge pick-up. All hardware on the Fender Vintage Hot Rod ’62 Strat is chrome, including the vintage synchronised tremolo and vintage style tuners. The switch tip and knobs have been given a slight ageing treatment and the pickguard has the ‘mint green’ hue that characterizes the old early sixties celluloid jobs. This amazing outfit is completed with a Deluxe Brown hardshell case, strap and cable.
