The 2008 Les Paul Standard has been updated to feature some modern refinements to the Les Paul Standard specifications which include: An asymmetrical Neck profile which is very comfortable to play and is crafted from a single piece of Mahogany, making it function as a single unit with the body, two BurstBucker Pro humbuckers which have Alnico V magnets that deliver an enhanced tone with more bite and brilliance, a chambered Mahogany body which has been weight relieved to reduce the overall weight of the instrument making this a much lighter Les Paul, Single ply cream binding on the top of the body and on the Fingerboard, AA figured Maple Top for that classic les Paul look and off course tone, Locking machineheads for extra tuning stability and TonePro locking tailpiece and Tune-O-Matic Bridge.
