Review:
The email strap line said, Would you recommend this product?, I absolutely would! Unreservedly. Now, I'm a little biased as I've owned a Variax 700 for the last 6 or 7 years and it's what you'd call a workhorse. I ran a project recording studio for a number of years and it was invaluable. I also played in a church Worship band where, again, it was worth it's weight in gold (for those not in the know, set lists - if there is one - are incredibly flexible so a truck full of guitars in one is a literal Godsend). So, Line 6, having had years of feedback about their guitar did the very best thing they could have done ... they listened. Really attentively. And everything the original guitars lacked, they added. The extra processing power not only improves the modelling superbly, but it means altered tunings for acoustics and 12 strings. A virtual capo, open tunings on the fly, rechargeable battery, magnetic pickups for emergencies, and ... it looks cool! Buy one NOW!!!
