The Rickenbacker 4001C64 is a 4-string bass guitar heavily used in the 1960s era of British music.
The Rickenbacker 4001C64 features a solid maple body and a maple neck that runs the full length of the body, creating maximum sustain. Offering both 'toaster-top' and horseshoe pickups with volume and tone controls for each, the 4001C64 provides a great variety of usable tones.
The 4001C64 has a RIC bridge and tailpiece and the rosewood fingerboard is decorated with dot inlays. The only change from the original 1964 model is a redesigned dual truss rod system permitting the use of round wound strings.
