Review:
It is robust and will be great as a travel mandolin which is what I bought it for. Has good intonation which is not always the case with mandolins in this price range. Not the best sound I have heard but again great for the price range. Nice action although I gave lowered it a bit. Pity it doesn't come with a case but found a tenor ukulele one that fitted well. Also put on a button for strap at the neck end.
I would recommend this instrument as a starter or for travelling. Serious players may need something better.

Review:
This is a great little mandolin which feels good, looks good and is incredibly loud and resonant for its size.
It is manufactured to a high standard in Canada and the quality and finish is noticeably superior to some of the Asian imports available at this price. The hardware is good with smooth, reliable tuners and an excellent embossed tailpiece and full-contact bridge. The headstock bears the name Seagull and a nice trademark picture.
The natural maple with semi-matte varnish is lovely to see and to touch and the whole instrument is a pleasure to play.
Alongside more expensive instruments its main weakness is in the lack of a deep and complex tone, especially at the lower end but it is remarkably good for this price point!
