The Sterling by Musicman SB14 uses a Music Man designed pickup with a 3rd coil – hidden underneath the pickup for true hum cancelling. The 3-way switch offers series, single and parallel wiring combinations. The basswood body is contoured.
The SB14 combines the best of both worlds, Music Man’s rich history combined with modern styling and an easy playing neck.
The SB14 features a solid contoured basswood body for a light weight body with warm tone. The nut is a narrow 38 mm for friendly and comfortable fingering. The 34” scale neck is attached via a 5 bolt neck joint. The neck heel is contoured and rounded for easy access to the entire fingerboard.
An active 3 band preamp is combined with the Music Man designed SB14 pickup. A 3rd Hum cancelling phantom coil zaps all the noise out and allows for series, parallel and true single coil operation with no hum.
