The AKG K 271 MK II combines the benefits of AKG’s circumaural design for extreme comfort and a closed-back design for maximum isolation from ambient noise.
The AKG K 271 MK II is the perfect choice for any application where sonic bleed could cause problems such as broadcast work. Dynamic, around-ear, closed-back headphones designed for playback recording, on-stage and live monitoring applications. Thanks to its XXL transducers, the AKG K 271 MK II sounds clean, smooth and very rich.

Comfortable, good midrange sound. Excellent for using to record guitars, keyboards or vocals.Great spacial width.
Sub-bass and treble can be a little weak compared to other headphones.

The best price performance one can get in the professional headphones. Sound is definitely not metal like it is so often in products of other producers.
Have not really used them properly yet but have put them up to some of my own tracks and reference tracks too. And can honestly say I was very impressed, they have a over all crafted sound from the low end to the hi freqs. Still have to adpt my ears to them a lil more just like u would any new headphones/ speakers. design is great, my only criticism there's no carry case!
These are very comfortable headphones to wear especially was the supplied velvet earpads, also the auto mute feature which mutes the headphones when they are taken off is great. Sound quality has a good balance within the whole frequency spectrum, although when these headphones are turned up the mid/highs will jump out a little bit
Earcups are a bit hard to place on the headphones
Great isolating headphones. Liked it so much it's my second pair. Auto mute feature is great and also good that you can change the cable if need to replace or for a longer one. Only thing is it seems not that easy to find spares in the uk.
