Acoustic Drums offers an incredible variety of very high quality drum samples. Dozens of drum kits for all musical styles grouped in two separate sections : Raw Drums and Processed Drums. In the Akai CD, all kits are conveniently following the GM standard, for easy integration in your projects. The Processed Drums section features equalised and compressed drums sounds, and some additional treatments for up to date, distinctive sounding kits. The Raw Drums section features many kits that have one thing in common : the sounds were captured without any processing, so that you can apply the right treatment at mixdown, or leave them raw for an aggressive, biting sound. For maximum flexibility the cymbals are grouped in separate kits, so that you can mix and match them freely with the drums. Additionally, Acoustic drums features some unconventional strikes (ghost notes etc.) for maximum realism when programming patterns. A modern and truly versatile drums collection. Soundscan Version 2 introduces programs in a lot of new sampler formats. The audio files are much improved: all files are compatible with the ACID-Enhanced .wav format, and all CDs featuring loops are supplied with .rx2 format (for Recycle 1 and 2 compatibility) in addition to .wav and AIFF files. Each product also now includes a great variety of programs mapping the samples for the major samplers: Akai programs (compatible with S5000, S6000, Z4, Z8 and MPC4000) plus software samplers: Emagic EXS24, Steinberg Halion, PropellerHeads Reason 2.0, and Mach 5.
