The Tube-Tech CL2A Dual Channel Optical Compressor. Dual channel version of the legendary CL1B, used worldwide especially for vocal and bass tracking.

The Tube-Tech CL2A is a two channel unit, featuring two optical compressors. The optical gain reduction is placed after the input transformer and followed by an all tube-based output amplifier with a gain of +10dB. Both input and output have balanced and fully floating transformers with a static screen. A switch with three positions (link1, off, link2) is used when the two compressors are used in stereo mode (either link1 or link2) or if several compressors are linked together. The two link busses are identical. The power supply and the sidechain circuit is based on solid state circuit. All DC voltages are stabilised, except the anode voltage for the output stage.
