The new 1073 DP (Dual Pre) is the latest generation of Neve Class A transformer balanced Mic Amplifiers. Based on the vintage 1073, it incorporates its classic sound and features with modern upgrades that maintain Neves long- standing heritage and reputation in sound quality.
Essentially, the 1073DPA is a surface mounted (although still discrete) version of their legendary 1073 module, minus the EQ. The 1073 DPD includes DSD digital outputs and AES-EBU up to 192kHz.
The 1073 DP is a dual Mic/ Line amplifier with an optional ADC (switchable between PCM and DSD) and presented in a 1U, 19 standalone rack with an integral PSU. The unit includes Hi and Lo impedance switches for ribbon microphones and Inserts at the rear allowing engineers to add an existing compressor or an EQ to the signal path before the ADC. Levels can be set using the classic gain control in 5dB steps then finely tuned with the trim controls. XLR/Jack inputs also feature giving additional flexibility for use with stereo analogue synthesisers or guitars.
