This V.I. version of SAM True Strike is in HALion 3 format and ships with the unique Steinberg HALion OEM Player. This is why an existing sampler is not a requirement to use SAM True Strike V.I. PRO. The intuitive and streamlined HALion Player, runs in VST2.0, Audio Units, DXi2 and Rewire. The plug-in can also be used standalone straight from Mac OS X or Windows XP.
The Professional Edition (PRO) offers you 51 orchestral percussion instruments in 3 microphone sets at 24-bit audio depth. Each mic set has its own unique sound, from close and direct to far and ambient, making this edition extremely useful for much more than the symphonic genre.
