The Yamaha APX900 (CRIMSON BURST) is a supremely playable cutaway electro-acoustic, offering optimum performance and tone with advanced on-board electronics. The APX900 features top-quality flamed maple back and sides and a solid spruce top. It delivers a rich, mature tone, with a punchy projection and a bright, long-ringing sustain. Cosmetics include an abalone sound hole inlay, ivory body and fretboard binding, abalone headstock logos and ‘CJ’ fingerboard inlays on an ebony fingerboard. The APX900's sophisticated onboard electronics feature the incredible 3-way A.R.T system with a dual sensor arrangement under the bridge plus sensors specifically tuned for HF and LF response under the treble and bass sides of the bridge. The advanced System 57 preamp features a luxurious brushed gold finish, on-board chromatic tuner, 3-band EQ, master volume and individual gain controls for the bass and treble sub pickups. The ability to adjust the gain of specific bass and treble pickups allows accurate shaping of the Yamaha APX900's tone without the use of EQ and removes the possibility of the phase inaccuracies and artifacts produced by even the finest EQ circuits.
