The Quested S7 is a self-powered, 2-way active monitor and part of the Quested S Range of nearfield monitors. Its integral electronics make it a compact yet powerful choice providing a combined output of 190 W for each monitor. The Quested S7 is fully magnetically shielded, so it can be used in close proximity to CRT monitors or TVs. The Quested S7 is a finely tuned reflex port design. Extensive work has gone into the amplifier and active cross over, employing world leaders in amplifier design. This combination has produced a product that boasts excellent sonic accuracy with un-hyped bass exactness. EQ a jazz double bass or house music kick drum with ease. The Quested S7 is suited to a wide variety of applications. Typical applications include near-field monitoring for recording/mixing, programming, post production suites, broadcast and surround sound. The high power output enables the monitors to be used where high monitoring levels are required such as location work. The compact size allows for ease of placement of three or more units for LCR and multi-channel applications. Although the bandwidth of the Quested S7 is adequate for most situations, the low end performance can be further extended by combining it with an SB series sub bass. The two products make an ideal combination and extend the frequency response down to 20 Hz.
