The Fender CLASSIC ‘72 TELECASTER CUSTOM is so simple, yet incredibly versatile! Since its introduction of the original Tele in the early ’50s, guitarists in all musical genres have relied on the Fender Telecaster guitar for its powerful tone and smooth playability. 1972 was a magical year for the Telecaster guitar, which was then available in several new designs and with more options than ever before. The ’72 Telecaster Custom features many of those options, including an alder body, a C-shaped maple neck, bullet truss rod, ’70s vintage hardtail strings-through Strat® bridge, three-bolt neckplate, a Wide Range humbucking pickup at the neck and a traditional single-coil pickup at the bridge. This custom Tele issue delivers fat, rockin' sonics. Controls include 2 volume and 2 tone knobs plus a 3-way toggle switch.
