The Gibson ES-345 originally debuted in 1959 in response to demand for an upgrade on the revolutionary new semi-hollowbody design of the ES-335, with Vari-tone electronics and double-parallelogram inlay. The ES345 has a Maple/Poplar/Maple laminate on the top, back, and rims, which are joined with a single solid maple center block. A mahogany neck with bound rosewood fingerboard. Two '57 Classic humbuckers translate the body's natural resonance into haunting jazz tones or searing distorted leads. The 1960s slim taper neck profile is very fast and comfortable while the bound top and back, plus Green Key tuners, nickel hardware and pearloid split parallelogram inlays make this guitar a comfort to play and watch. Today’s Gibson ES345 continues to provide the tone and the look that inspires musicians in blues, rock and jazz. The Gibson ES-345 was B.B. King's original choice. Includes Gibson black smooth levant hardshell case.
