The Epiphone Allen Woody Rumblekat bass guitar is a design by Allen Woody, legendary bassist with the Allman Brothers and Gov’t Mule. He designed this bass in the spring of 2000 right before his untimely passing on August 26, 2000. Embodying the spirit of some of his favourite classic instruments of the 1960’s, Allen combined a short-scale (30 inch) for playing comfort with two mini bass humbuckers in the neck and
middle positions to give it that “signature” Woody rumbling, warm tone. The Epiphone Allen Woody Rumblekat bass has a five-ply maple top, semi-hollow, single-cutaway, archtop, chambered mahogany body and a set mahogany neck to improve sustain. The neck profile is short and very comfortable while the gold hardware, body/neck/headstock binding, rosewood fingerboard and dot inlays make this bass a comfort to play and watch. The Epiphone Allen Woody Rumblekat bass provides the tone and the look that inspires musicians.
