TC Helicon VoiceDoubler trancends mere detuned and delayed track copies by manipulating time and pitch in your choice of fine or large increments. Everything from a mono lead + double to huge stereo lead + four doubles sounds like you took the time to painstakingly build it yourself through multitracking. Things really start to happen when you run multiple instances of VoiceDoubler. Got three vocal tracks? Make it a quick twelve by running an instance of VoiceDoubler on each track giving you thickness you can chew on. Want a mixed group vocal? Send to multiple VoiceDoubler instances from a single track and choose mixed genders, up and down octaves and different humanization styles.

The heart of the VoiceDoubler plug-in is in the four overdub voices. These are cleverly pitch shifted copies of the lead voice processed through TC-Helicon’s humanization algorithms. With them, the slight differences in consecutive performances from a single singer are recreated with gentle pitch, timing and energy alterations. Of course, this would not be possible or sound believable without our fast and robust pitch detection and shifting technologies.

We realize you’ve grown to like some of the electronic doubling approximations around nowadays, so we’ve recreated them for you in the uMod (micromod) effect block. The classic micropitch effect is offered, but that’s only the beginning. The styles available incorporate delay, modulation, feedback, detuning and shelving to produce everything from gentle widening to chorus and on to flanging and swirling pitch vortices. Any effect from the uMod block can be layered with the overdub voices or used separately.

Operating VoiceDoubler is not only faster than multitracking, it’s easier too. We’ve worked hard to make realistic presets so you can load one and move on. You can quickly tighten or loosen the current preset with the Pitch and Time master controls, head deeper to select a different Humanization Style, or dive right into the individual parameters and create your own personal doubling sound.
