The Samson dB500a is a two-way active PA Speaker with a 15" driver.

Inside the rigid custom designed cabinet of the Samson db500 is a 15" driver designed exclusively for this project. It's matched with a new 1.75" Neodymium high frequency driver, aimed through a 1" diameter horn.The dB500a features 500 watts of Class H power (400 watts low frequency/100 watts high frequency) and has a crossover designed for high SPL. Samson's exclusive Optimax (TM) signal processing circuitry provides total speaker protection but won't cut the low end at high volumes, as similar speakers with sliding filters do.

The main features of the Samson dB500 are:

• Power rating: 400 Watt RMS(low frequency), 100 Watt RMS (high frequency)
• Separate bass and treble controls
• Switchable low cut filter and limiter
• Balanced microphone input with level control and Phantom Power for condenser microphones
• Balanced line level input with level control
• Selectable low cut filter and limiter
• Designed with floor monitoring in mind, but they are also easily stacked or permanently installed
• A 1 3/8" pole receptacle is built in, and 10 reinforced fly points are available
