The Ltd Standard Series Viper-407 BLKS is loaded with an EMG 81-7 pickup in the bridge position and a 707 pickup for the neck, a good, active combination for metal and rock tones. The smooth, bound 3 Piece maple set neck with rosewood fingerboard on a mahogany sculpted body, provides good resonance and sustain for the EMG's to belt out rich, huge rhythm and searing solo tones, perfect for metal and rock. The ESP Guitars Ltd Viper-407 BLKS has a 25.5 inch scale for easy note bending and the upper frets are easily reached with the double cutaway design.
