The EDIUS NX for HDV Expansion Kit delivers the best possible preview of HD compositions and effects, without the expense of SDI-based hardware and displays. The Expansion Kit also features an OHCI-compliant IEEE 1394 FireWire controller, which enables users to connect HDV cameras and decks for video capture and tape export. The inclusion of the FireWire controller also enables the realtime, bidirectional analog/digital conversion function of EDIUS NX for HDV, allowing anyone to use EDIUS NX for HDV as an ADVC from any Windows-based editing application that supports OHCI. The EDIUS NX for HDV Expansion Kit also provides SD component video output, additional unbalanced stereo RCA audio output, and includes the EDIUS NX for HDV Bay.

The Expansion Kit includes:

• EDIUS NX for HDV Bay: This sleek, black, 5.25-inch breakout panel provides EDIUS NX for HDV users with front-mounted connectors for 4-pin FireWire, S-Video, composite video and unbalanced stereo RCA audio. The package includes all cables for connecting the Bay to the EDIUS NX for HDV PCI board.
• EDIUS NX for HDV SD Component Output Module The EDIUS NX for HDV SD Component Output Module option is an affordable add-on solution for EDIUS NX for HDV customers who only require realtime SD component video output for monitor preview.
