The Mapex M Birch kit features tonally superior birch shells with a beautiful exterior ply of maple, striking high-gloss transparent lacquer finishes, and double braced hardware.

Mapex M Birch's exterior maple ply allows beautiful wood grain to show through the drum's eight coat, hand-rubbed lacquer finish. The all maple M Birch bass drum hoops are color matched and secured via low profile claw hooks.

All Mapex M Birch Kits include a matching birch shell snare drum. M Birch kits come complete with Mapex 550 Series double-braced hardware. All M Birch drums are equipped with Remo drum heads.

The tom mount is secured via the lugs and is not drilled directly into the shell. The Mapex I.T.S. System allows the shell to vibrate freely, allowing for maximum projection and resonance.

Mapex's low mass lugs are secured to the shell via only one point of penetration. Fewer holes in the drum shell means less vibratory interruption, resulting in truer tone and unimpeded resonance.
