The MCE 86 is a versatile and lightweight shotgun microphone for camera or camcorder mounting. It can be used for outdoor applications and in studios with fishpole booms or as handhelds.

The microphones condenser element and hypercardioid/lobe polar pattern provide high sensitivity, excellent off-axis rejection and accurate reproduction of any sound source. Its rugged design and built-in filter make it insensitive to wind and vibrations. Weighing 92 g, the MCE 86 is one of the lightest shotgun microphones available.
