The Akai MPC Studio is a slimline Music Production Controller offering classic MPC feel and software integration.
Unlike previous MPCs, the Akai MPC Studio is a controller-only unit, to be used in conjunction with MPC Software. With low-profile controls and thin slimline brushed aluminum body, the Akai MPC Studio is made for convenience and portability. Featuring real back-lit MPC pads, classic MPC ideology, touch-sensitive controls and powerful MPC Software, MPC Studio gives you a fully integrated production solution.
The MPC software can function as a plug-in or standalone application with 64-tracks of sequencing. Included with the software is a huge sound library (over 6GB), including all the sounds from the MPC3000, plus a massive collection of great new sounds. Connectivity to your computer is over USB, and the large LCD indicates what is going on within the software - letting you concentrate on getting creative. Hardware controllers can be instantly assigned to MPC software or 3rd party plug-ins, giving you total control in your MPC Studio.
