The Make Noise MATHS Analogue Computer Synth Module is an analogue computer module that generates linear, logarithmic and exponential functions, and also integrates incoming signals. This module allows users to generate a variety of linear, logarithmic, or exponential triggered or continuous functions as well as being able to integrate incoming signals. Does a lot of mathematical wizardry with electricity. More than the sum of its parts. (Except for the SUM Output - that's exactly the sum of its parts, as you'd expect.)
It's great. Insane amount of things you can do with it. First module I get to accompany my Mother 32.
The manual is excellent and was a major factor in my purchase. I had seen it used on YouTube but hadn't fully realised what it would mean for my system as a whole. I have only had it for a few days and so i cannot comment on all its features but previous to getting it i had a selection of modules and now i feel with this it has a kind of mind / heart now, a purpose, a way of realising the full potential of what i already have. Maths can coordinate your modules, it can interface them with the outside world with the top left and top right sockets and can be used as an envelope follower, lfo and create all kinds of envelopes with curves not seen on the ADSR's i have come across. You will be delighted by it i am, even though this module is deep and exhausting, as it is rewarding. By trying out all the patches in the back of the manual you will soon get a feel for what it can do for you and there loads of helpful videos by its designer on the Make Noise YouTube channel.
