The Terrasoniq Plotec PL2 λ², is a compact duophonic mono MIDI powered synthesizer, built in a pocket sized case, measuring just 4.65cm by 5.2cm and weighs only 36 grams.
The voice architecture of this synth is based on subtractive synthesis, the voice is made up of two square wave oscillators that can be combined to create other waveforms such as saw, since and pulse. The oscillators can also be PW modulated, this oscillator signal is then processed through an ADSR envelope generator which can be linked to the onboard multi-mode analogue or digital filters if you chose. The onboard LFO has multiple modulation sources and destinations, including control and modulation of the analogue filter.
The unit has many different play modes, mono on, dual on, dual with detune and dual with octave. There are also lots of control modes onboard allowing for diverse and varied control schemes with full portamento, aftertouch and even breath control.
The Ploytec PL2 is powered and controlled exclusively by MIDI, the synth can be powered by 5 VDC 100 mA via the USB port onboard.
