The Vermona PerFOURmer MkII is a 4-voice analogue synthesizer offering a revolutionary concept and unique sound quality.
Built on the original PerFOURmer, this synthesizer combines four independent discrete monophonic analogue synthesizer into a single rack-mountable desktop unit. Each individual synthesizer can be coupled in different ways to be played monophonically, duophonically, or polyphonically. What's more, each synth channel can interact with one another using oscillator synchronisation or FM (Frequency Modulation). The Perfourmer's unique voice assignment allows for 6 operational modes. All voices or synthesizers can be coupled and played polyphonically, duophonically or monophonically creating expressive and lively sequences or textures.
Each synthesizer or voice offers a choice of sine, triangle, square, and sawtooth waveforms or a noise generator. The Square waveforms' pulse can be modulated via LFO or MIDI. Next to the oscillators each synthesizer possesses a resonant low-pass filter with a 24dB per Octave steepness, an envelope generator and an LFO, both of which allow for rich modulations of the oscillator's pitch and cut-off frequency.
Despite the usual structure of VCO, VCF and VCA, the PerFOURmer mkII is no usual synthesizer and each voice can interact expanding greatly the available spectrum of sounds through a combination of Oscillator Sync and FM. The LFOs can also be synchronised between each other or to an internal or external MIDI Clock.
What's more, each synthesizer voice or channels features an individual input that can be used instead of the oscillators. Used in that way the PerFOURmer mkII becomes a flexible and extremely powerful filterbank with four filters, four VCAs, four envelopes and four LFOs.
Extremely flexible, the PerFOURmer MkII remains easy to use and straightforward with all the main functions directly accessible and a clever layout of advanced editings capabilities.
