The Yamaha MoX8 is quite simply the most powerful, affordable and mobile Yahaha music workstation ever. The design has become the industry standard for music production synthesizers in live performance and studio use and the MOX8 improves on previous designs whilst offering new features (such as USB integration) to entice a whole new generation of players.

As is typical with Yamaha keyboards, the MOX8 features an 88-key graded hammer action keyboard of typical high quality response. This keyboard has been developed for musicians to explore their capabilities on a keyboard that is almost indistinguishable in feel from the real thing. Using Yamaha’s XS sound engine a variety of styles can be played with a vast sound bank including Yamaha’s acclaimed grand concert piano sound at your disposal. An array of filters and effects are included to create vintage and modern synth sounds.

The MOX8 also includes a ‘performance mode’ whereby player’s creativity can really be indulged. You can combine up to four sounds of your choice to create dynamic layered sounds through just one MIDI channel. For example you can build up layers in which to solo over. There are many aspects of the MOX8 that make it very easy for you to get the most from the Yamaha. Included are a 4-in/2-out USB audio/MIDI interface for complete integration with your digital audio workstation. With no extra equipment you can easily record external instruments by connecting them with the Yamaha. There is also a built in sequencer which allows you to record performances and do step recording for individual phrases. The MOX8 has been designed to be used wherever you go and is lightweight making it easy to carry to music rehearsals.

Included in the MOX8 package are software editors to allow you to edit your musical creations to the final stages. Steinberg’s CUBASE software is included allowing you to edit the output from your MOX8 just like it was soft synthesizer and is ideal for composing entire arrangements.
