The C 5900M is a high quality condenser performance microphone that features a hyper-cardioid polar pattern, providing maximum gain before feedback and minimial noise at the off-axis sections of the capsule. The microphone is ideal for live sound reinforcement and public address situations where monitor speakers and ambient noise may be present. A 0dB / +6dB Pad and low frequency roll off switch are included with the C 5900M. It has a wide frequency response of 20 - 20,000Hz and an SPL rating of 142dB allowing a variety of applications. The microphone is suitable for use in performances, ENG/EFP, instrument capturing, live sound and recording.
The AKG C 5900M is part of the Emotion Tripower modular series. These "modular" versions allow users to replace the output stage and XLR connector with an optional TM40 wireless transmitter, allowing the flexibility to use the microphone with a cable or wireless receiver.
