Powerplay PM1 In-Ear Monitor Belt-Pack description:

The Behringer Powerplay PM1 In-Ear Monitor Belt-Pack is a personal in-ear monitor belt-pack, featuring an XLR input, a 3.5mm mini jack headphones connector, and includes a belt-pack clip. The PM1 is a convenient hard-wired personal inear control center, that puts monitor control right at your fingertips, and is lightweight, ultra-easy to use – and doesn’t require a power source. The PM1 features an extremely high-quality volume control for dialling in the perfect level every time.

Designed for long life and super smooth performance, this detented control stays where you put it. Because your monitor is crucial to your performance, PM1’s XLR input connector accepts standard mic cables and features a locking mechanism to prevent accidental disconnects. Just press the tab next to the bottom-mounted connector to release the cable at the end of the gig. You can use your favourite headphones, earbuds or custom-molded professional In-Ear Monitors (IEMs) with the PM1, thanks to the top-mounted, standard 3.5mm (1/8") stereo output jack.

The main features of the Behringer Powerplay PM1 In-Ear Monitor Belt-Pack include:

  • In-ear monitor belt-pack
  • For personal monitor applications
  • High quality volume control
  • XLR input with locking mechanism
  • 3.5mm mini jack headphones connector
  • Convenient belt-pack clip included

Review:
Unit is robust, light and compact. It works nicely however could do with more volume as i find i have to boost from the desk more than i would like.

Behringer p1
Doesn't play through both ears on an aux send, passive electronics so very quiet, nice neat design though.

Review:
Very good quality product and simple to use. I would have preferred if the PM1 was louder, however I understand that this is mostly due to the settings on the PA system and isn't a reflection of the product necessarily. Very cost effective, and definitely will continue to use this each week at church!

Review:
It's important to understand what you get from this unit - it's exactly what is described on the Behringer web site. They make no claim for any kind of active pre-amplification, i.e. it is a passive attenuation device. If you are a performer using this on stage as a personal monitoring system fed from the XLR output of a PA sound mixer, you must ensure that the sound engineer gives you the maximum signal level possible from the PA sound mixer aux output, so you have enough headroom to work with during a live performance. If used in this way then it does the job very well. It is quite expensive for such a simple passive device but the unit is very well made with a black metal case, large rugged metal belt clip, good quality plugs and volume control.
