The M-Audio Solaris is a modestly priced, large diaphragm condenser microphone designed for project and professional studio recording applications. The Solaris features a 1.1 inch evaporated gold diaphragm that produces a linear 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response with no more than +/-1dB of deviation across the entire 20Hz-20kHz frequency range, perfect for matched-pair stereo miking. User selectable cardioid, omnidirectional and figure 8 Multi-pattern architecture provides flexibility that makes it ideal for just about any recording situation. The Solaris has a low-frequency roll-off switch which eliminates wind, hum and proximity effect noise. An -10dB Pad switch increases headroom when capturing loud sources and Class-A FET electronics provide low noise whilst maximizing output gain.
