sE Electronics RN-17 Pencil Condenser Microphone - The world’s first
pencil mic with a large scale, ultra high performance, transformer which is custom designed and hand wound.
The sE Electronics RN 17 features a gold sputtered 17mm Mylar capsule, which is developed by sE and is also the world’s smallest production capsule. The result in sound is truly magnificent. The definition and detail from the capsule is incredible, made more so by the headroom afforded by the Rupert Neve transformer. The combined effect is one of extreme clarity, with a wonderfully smooth, silky sound.
The RN17 mic ships with a Cardioid capsule, in a wooden presentation case, shockmount, and with a canister to hold the Mylar capsule shipped with the microphone.
The Se RN17 is ideal for all instrument miking applications.
