Alesis DM6 Session Kit and DM10 X Electronic Drum kit: Alesis is happy to announce that you’ll finally be able to get your hands on the
full-featured and very affordable Alesis DM6 Session Kit and DM10 X electronic drum kit. This is good news for anyone looking to start or upgrade
their virtual drum setup, because both include high-quality audio reproduction from impressively-comprehensive modules, and both have been design
ed to feel as reactive and authentic as possible when you sit down to play.

The Alesis DM6 Session kit has been designed specifically with the novice player in mind, in particular one who wants a portable setup that can
sit within a relatively small playing space. To that end – although of course thanks to 108 sounds on the included DM6 module, each position can
sound like absolutely anything – the set includes three ‘tom’ pads, a specially-designed ‘snare’ pad, a kick and three cymbals. There is of
course a kick pedal included, as well as a separate pedal that virtually presses down your hi-hat.
It’ll be up to you whether you play along to one of 40 included songs or jam with your own tracks, and if you’re keen to use the trigger pads in
conjunction with any specific software or apps, the USB connection will hook you up. The Alesis DM6 is absolutely perfect for the beginner who’s
looking to learn drums from the start or an acoustic player who’s looking for a quick, portable practice setup.
The DM10 X, on the other hand, has very much been designed for high-level professional players, in particular including the company’s Realhead
pads (10” and 12”) in the six-piece set. These are dual-zone, allowing you to set two separate triggers (rimshots/clicks, or in fact whatever
sound you want to assign) to one pad.
In addition to the six-piece drum set are four cymbals, so even the more complex players will be comfortable behind the kit – double-pedal set-ups
are accommodated too. The well-stocked drum module can more than meet the hardware’s impressive potential, supplying over 1000 uncompressed
samples to choose from, modelled on and sampled from some of the most popular drum types and configurations in the world.
It’s for the pro who’ll be practicing, rehearsing and even gigging with an electronic kit, and it’s been designed to be hard-wearing and quick to
erect, so you don’t need to compromise sound quality, playability or convenience even a little. Well worth your sticks.
