Arturia SEM-V News: The long-awaited return of a revered classic brings new features and multitimbral tone to an already-loved synthesiser.

We’ve been excited to finally receive stock of Arturia’s astonishing recreation of the legendary Oberheim SEM-V – the Synthesiser Expander Module. It’s a synth that has appeared in numerous best-selling tracks over the years, yielding a rich warmth that lends itself perfectly to mixes. Of course, we can’t all find or afford the original hardware, so Arturia’s reimagining with their exclusive TAE technology comes as a huge boon to producers the world over.
Polyphony and New Features – a Better Oberheim.
The original two oscillators are there with sawtooth and variable-width PWM wave options, sine wave LFO, 12dB/oct multi-mode filter with low-pass, high-pass, band-pass and notch, two ADS envelope generators, as the original had. However, there are now additional features as a part of the virtual recreation, including LFO, Noise, Sub oscillator, on board effects (overdrive, chorus and delay), Arpeggiator and Portamento, so you’re actually working with something even more powerful. And that’s before you consider the polyphony and eight-voice Multitimbrality.
Arturia ’s SEM-V is compatible with both Mac and Windows systems (see SKU for exact requirements), and will be able work in standalone, VST, RTAS and AU configurations too, with support for both 32- and 64-bit rigs.
The Arturia Oberheim SEM-V a unique, desirable synth and one that won’t cost too much, thanks to Arturia, to add to your sonic arsenal.
