Mojave MA-1000 Condenser Wins Best Studio Microphone Award at the 18th MIPA
The Musikmesse/Prolight & Sound 2017 event was held on Thursday, April 6th this year in Frankfurt, Germany. The products chosen for the 38 categories are carefully selected by journalists from over 100 industry and special interest publications. The proud winner of the best “Studio Microphone” category was none other than Mojave’s MA-1000 tube condenser microphone, a professional studio tool designed by David Royer, himself a figure with impressive accolades to his name.
The MA-1000 features an “original new old-stock“ 5840 tube, a 251-style capsule and custom built transformer, ensuring an excellent response across the entire frequency range, and a warm, pristine signal. During testing the MA-1000 frequently matched or out-performed microphones many times its cost. Another important element of the MA-1000 is its continuously adjustable polar pattern, controlled from the power supply, which means the applications of this microphone are many and varied.
