After a Five year hiatus, Punk Rockers Blink 182 announce their reformation and plans for a new album.

Blink 182 Reform & DV Gear Guide

The American Punk Rock Trio Blink 182 formed in 1992 in San Diego CA. Originally composed of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Scott Raynor, Blink 182 recorded and self-released their demo tape, "Fly Swatter" in 1993. Blink went on to record their first studio album "Cheshire Cat" in 1994.

After the release of Blink’s album "Dude ranch", the band signed with MCA records and found themselves on the U.S Vans Warped Tour. Halfway through the tour, Drummer Scott Raynor left the group, and was replaced by Travis Barker of "The Aquabats".

Now with a permanent drummer, Blink 182 released their first album on MCA, "Enema of the State" in 1999. The album featured the hit singles "All the Small Things" and "What's My Age Again? "Enema of the State" went on to sell 15 million copies worldwide making it the band's best selling album making Blink strong leaders of the Pop Punk movement.

Blink 182 then released the album "Take off Your Pants and Jacket", which featured the hits "Rock Show" and "First Date", and sold over 350,000 copies the first week. November 2003 saw the release Blink-182 released their self titled fifth studio album, which gave birth to the hit singles "Feeling This," "I Miss You," "Down" and "Always" and featured guest vocals by Robert Smith of the English rock band The Cure.

Tensions arose between the band members and in 2005 Blink 182 went on a hiatus, but released the Blink 182 Greatest Hits album. Blink 182’s split spawned new bands such as "+44" featuring friends Hoppus and Barker and the successful "Angels and Airwaves" fronted by DeLonge.

After a five year hiatus, Blink announced their reformation at the 2009 51st Grammy Awards. A message soon appeared on the Blink 182 website confirming, "We’re back. We mean, really back…".
