Fender Jim Root Stratocaster News: Fender have partnered with heavy-metal shredder Jim Root to produce the new Jim Root Stratocaster. It’s designed to complement his unique style and is a serious no-nonsense weapon for any metal guitarist.

Jim Root has a tremendously varied style of playing and is guitarist for both Slipknot and Stone Sour which means the quality, playability and reliability of his guitar is paramount to his state of mind both on stage and in the studio. The Jim Root Strat has a compound radius neck (12” at the nut – 14” at the heel), 22 jumbo frets, a stoptail bridge for maximum tuning stability and increased sustain, and 2 active EMG pickups. The switching is 3-way with a single master volume.

Finished with satin lacquer, the Jim Root Strat is available in 2 colour options: Flat Black (rosewood fingerboard) or Flat White (maple fingerboard). Both come with black hardware throughout, including the machine heads, a large Fender headstock and no fret markers. It is a formidable guitar that not only provides the uncompromising fat tones and high gain necessary for modern rock music, but looks the part too.
