Fender Jimmy Dale Signature Kingman SCE News: Jimmy Dale is the son of the world-renowned surf guitarist, Dick Dale (also known as the “King of the Surf Guitar”). He has collaborated with Fender to design the Jimmy Dale Signature Kingman SCE, to be released at NAMM 2010.
Jimmy Dale has played guitar alongside his father from a very young age. They often tour together and are well known for their dueling each other on their Fender guitars. The Jimmy Dale Signature Kingman is co-designed by Jimmy and features an all-solid mahogany body, a cutaway for easy access high up on the neck, 2 pickguards, abalone block inlays and Fishman electronics with an onboard tuner.
Dick Dale is a strong environmental activist and Jimmy has followed in his footsteps, designing his Signature Kingman SCE around a 3-inch-deep body which, apart from being more comfortable to play, uses about half the raw timber of a regular dreadnought.
