Gibson has unleashed details of its 2014 SG guitar models, which sees the company celebrate its 120th anniversary by offering a great variety of different models to suit most budgets.
The SGJ makes a welcome return after its 2013 launch, and is available with the Min-Etune system in the form of the SGM model. The SG Special and SG Futura models will appeal to those looking for an SG without the SG Standard's price tag, and they both offer very different playing experiences. The SG Special takes a stripped down approach, with vintage tones and looks thanks to the 490R and 490T pickups and Dark Cream plastics, while the SG Futura looks to the future with the Min-Etune tuning system, a P-90 and BurstBucker 3 pickup combination, push/pull coil-taps and a 15dB boost control.
The Gibson SG Standard maintains the lavish looks it has always offered, with the deliciously vintage tones of the '57 Classic humbuckers, while the Min-Etune system offers automatic tuning with an alarming degree of accuracy.
As with all models in the 2014 range, the SG guitars feature a 120th anniversary banner inlay at the 12th fret. For more info on the Gibson 2014 SGs, call our sales team on 0845 0777 247.
