Ibanez launch new additions to their Premium range of guitars and basses.
Ibanez have released details of their RG920 Quilted Maple series of electric guitars and ATK800 bass guitar, new for 2012 in Ibanez's Premium series at this year's MusikMesse conference in Frankfurt.
The RG920QMZ guitars take the new RG920 model and add a Quilted Maple top to its American Basswood body, while the RG920MQMZ models offer the new Quilted Maple top with a Maple fingerboard. Each of these new models is available in three beautiful finishes to show off the new quilted top providing a great deal of choice to fans of the Ibanez Premium range.
Each of the new RG920 guitars features a pair of DiMarzio IBZ Humbucking pickups with a 5-way selector enabling a splitting function in the neck pickup and a setting for using each pickup together as single-coils. Equipped with a low profile Edge-Zero II Tremolo and a locking nut, the RG920 allows for heavy tremolo use while maintaining solid tuning. The addition of removable crossbar, counter-spring and a spring adjustment knob enables the tremolo to be customised to each player's own style.
The ATK-800 Walnut Flat 4-string bass guitar brings the ATK design to Ibanez's Premium range, with a beautiful ash body and a 3-piece maple neck. The walnut finish is complimented by a rosewood pickguard.
Equipped with CAP Sonic Arch and CAP Double Humbucker pickups, the ATK-800 provides powerful bass tones with a clear and crisp high end using the ATK N3 3-band EQ System and a Balance control to blend the two pickups together. There is also a Pickup Coil Selector Switch to choose between the two different humbucker combinations in the bridge pickup.
The Premium range of instruments is built and finished at Ibanez’s dedicated Premium Factory with incredibly accurate attention to detail using high quality woods and hardware to ensure that when you buy Premium, that’s exactly what you get.
