RME Fireface UCX News: Unveiled today at NAMM 2012, a new X-Series RME interface - the ultra-compact Fireface UCX.

Continuing the line of high-end X-Series audio interfaces, the UCX promises to deliver astounding digital conversion, full DSP mixer and effects, and incredibly low latency.
Although similar-looking to the Fireface 400, the UCX boasts better converters, DSP effects and support for RME remotes. It takes a lot of it's feature-set from the Fireface UFX and presents it as a half-rack unit with 18 i/o, 8x analogue, 1x ADAT and 2x mic preamps, as opposed to the 30 i/o, 12 analogue, 2x ADAT and 4x mic pre's of it's bigger brother.
The UCX has retained many of the innovative features of the UFX with internal DSP hardware effects, TotalMix FX, RME remote support, stand-alone operation and USB/Firewire connectivity. Also, being Class-Compliant, is capable of interfacing with Apple's iPad and iPad2.
Due to start shipping soon, the Fireface UCX is going to be hard to beat in terms of bang for your buck, being so rich in features and high on quality.
